Amravati: Violence against women is a manifestation of existing subordination innate in woman, and superiority complex ruling in male gender's mind. To eliminate this violence from grass root level and raise the society to a discrimination free place for women to live in, Amravati center of Divya Jyoti Jagrati sansthan as a part of the 16 days campaign running across India from 25th Nov i.e. International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to 10th Dec i.e. Human Right’s Day, conducted awareness generating rallies for 2 days in Amravati, Maharashtra.
The rally on 26th of Nov began with 90 women volunteers from Divya Jyoti Aashram, Gangotri Colony, Akoli Road, Sai Nagar and walked across areas like Gangotri Colony, Mahabank Colony, Gajanan Mandir Road, Sai Nagar Chowk, Saibaba Udyan Road, Benam Chowk that are usually thronged.
On the 28th of Nov, another rally was conducted that commenced from Rajapeth and assembled at Town Hall, Amravati with a team of 170 active women & girl participants. On its way to assembly point, it crossed by Rajapeth Bus stop, Rajapeth Chowk, Rajkamal Chowk, Shyam Chowk, Jaystambh Chowk, Saroj Chowk, Javahar Get, Gandhi Chowk and Ambadevi. Ms. Varsha, Advocate & a social activist, and Dr. Anjali Kuthe, renowned personality from medical fraternity graced the rally with their presence, participation and commitment for future contribution.
The participants during the rally held placards of sensitizing slogans to value girl child and alleviate her from every form of violence so as to raise the bar of social growth & development.
The rally was lead by Sadhvi disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji appointed on duty in DJJS Amravati namely Sadhvi Annapurna Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Shubhprada Bharti Ji and Sadhvi Praneya Bharti Ji who not just managed the rally from the scratch till the end, but also motivated the participants to be directed and geared up to walk extra mile for the transformation in the life of a woman.
