Antarkranti, a project for jail inmates by DJJS, organized yet another program in the Meerut Jail, Uttar Pradesh on March 3, 2015. The event engaged 100 men and 60 women from men & women cell respectively.
Yagya was performed along with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra & Shanti Mantra in the Jail premises. DJJS preachers shared with the inmates the importance & benefits of Yagya , and science behind it as mentioned in our scriptures.
While performing Yagya, the two energies, namely, the heat from the fire and the sound of the Mantras, combine to achieve the desired physical, psychological and spiritual benefits.
While on one hand, the fusion of sound and heat energy acted as a neuro-linguistic therapy bringing down the depression and stress of inmates, simultaneously being an anti microbial agent, it helps in killing the various harmful bacteria and virus nearby thus, spreading a sense of purity in air and in the minds.
The attendees were motivated to follow the directions and inspirations of our indwelling divinity and imbibe righteous tendencies. It inspires the being to surrender one’s body, mind, ego and soul to the Supreme. Yagya did just that, it kindled that inspiration of surrender.
