Swami Vivekananda, the epitome of courage and confidence, was the topic of discussion held between the two renowned colleges of Haryana named Chaudhary Devi Lal University and Law College upon the theme of ‘modernization vs westernization. After a long 30 minutes discussion the session was concluded by the DJJS representative, Sadhvi Om Prabha Bharti ji, disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji, founder/mentor and one of the eminent orators of the organisation. She exclaimed ‘ modernization is a concept which solely deals with the quest on soul, when you don’t see yourself alone and separated but consider yourselves as an integral part of the whole cosmos and it therefore has no relation with following any particular country’s culture, lifestyles or way of dressing which we today name as ‘westernization’ in aggregation'.
Along with it, Patriotic and cultural dances were performed by the Young volunteers of DJJS. And a play on the ill effects of drugs was also enacted upon before the strength of more than 1600 students from different multidimensional courses and streams. A Youth band from Arts Factory also managed to swing the audience with their patriotic and motivational songs. Dr Radheshyam Sharma – the Vice Chancellor of CDLU with his motivational words also appreciated the efforts being made by DJJS in making the world a better place. Mrs. Sharndeep Kaur Brar - Deputy Commissioner, Sirsa, Dr. Poonam Miglani - Principal of National College of Education Sirsa were some of the prominent guests who graced the event.
