About Manthan

I am Manthan

Manthan is a Holistic Education Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) for under-privileged children. The objective is to strengthen the core educational foundation of children and elevate their moral conduct, thereby nurturing a child at academic, physical, mental and spiritual front.

Manthan is not just another school program but it’s a unique educational initiative, enlivening the true philosophy of education for societal development through various Sampoorna Vikas Kendras (SVKs).

A comprehensive education system blended with ingrained morals and ethics was meant to be the foundation stone of Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendras. The first centre commenced officially from the slum area of Shakurpur, New Delhi in 2009. All that it started with was just a small building whose ambience glowed with a group of tiny tots, mentored by few teachers. And now, the initiative has spread its wings across four states of India, giving access to education to more than 2500 children through 18 Sampoorna Vikas Kendras.

Most of the children in our country remain deprived of education due to poverty, monotonous teaching methodology, lack of teachers, shortage of appropriate resources, and lack of awareness. Furthermore, child labor is also a major impediment to their education as children are forced to earn living for their families.

Under the divine guidance of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the Founder and Head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), Manthan understood the depth of this problem and surveyed some needy rural areas and urban settlements. It was found that maximum children were drop-outs and left education due to their poor economic condition or other reasons. Some were non-school goers while others were first generation learners. Hard to believe that even if some children were attending school, their educational level was very poor.

Manthan team swung into action and got enormously engaged in the welfare work for educating children of rural belts and urban slums of India.

This campaign of transformation is being executed selflessly.

My Inspiration

Manthan flourishes and thrives under the divine inspiration of the Founder and Head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.

Manthan profoundly espouses the words of enlightenment, “Holistic Education epitomizes an internal evolution process enabling a child to know his own self and realize his latent potential. Any kind of education is justified only when it enables an individual to serve the society through the potent of his own wisdom”, said by Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.

His Holiness rationalizes the meaningfulness of education with the influential tools of morals and ethics that shape one’s character and personality. His words embolden the spirit of Manthan to work on the holistic development of children and prepare them to become socially and morally responsible youth of the nation.
