The Atharva Veda through its verse - Apastvam Dhukshe Prathama Urvara Apara Vashe, Tritiyam Rashtram Dhukshoanna Ksheram Vashe Tvam talks about the 3-tier developmental attributes of Mother Cow as giver of healthy milk, sustainer of agriculture and provider of strong backbone to the Nation. Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is reviving the same age old cultural practice of cattle rearing and worship of Cow as Mother with exceptional focus on the social, economic and environmental benefits of Indigenous Breeds of Cows through Kamdhenu – the Indian Cow Breed Improvement & Conservation Program of DJJS. Rendering a scientific insight into the milk qualities of non-Indigenous Cows with respect to Indian Cows as A1 and A2, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji raises a genuine query that how can a Cow producing A1 milk which is causing diseases like Autism, Type 1 Diabetes, Schizophrenia, Cancer and Heart Attacks (July 13, 2004, "Beta Casein A1 and A2 in Milk and Human Health" Report - Boyd Swinburn, MD); be called as a Mother? An agribusiness professor and farm-management consultant at New Zealand’s Lincon’s University, Keith Woodford has stamped the same conflict by tagging A1 milk producing Cow as “Devil in the Milk”, because of the presence of BCM7 (betacasomorphine) in its milk. On the other hand, the Indian Cows produce A2 milk which is healthy and sattwic (holds spiritual significance) too. Not just milk but its gomutra (cow urine) and gomya (cow dung) also contribute in Ayurvedic medicines, organic farming and production of bio-electricity. Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji offers exceptional compassion to the all compassionate Indigenous Cow who is the only tetrapod blessed with a cultural designation of – A Mother! Extending his ideology of Indian Cow as strong basis of agricultural economy and sustainable society, to individuals in mass congregations, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji says – If we want to save the Nation, we must save Indigenous Breeds of Cows!
