Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), a socio-spiritual-cultural, not-for profit organisation, established and run under the mentorship of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS) is making people aware about the truth of life through the eternal science of Self-Realization – 'Brahm Gyan', uprooting in its wake all social evils and threat. DJJS Gorakhpur recently organised a 7 day Shrimad Bhagwat Katha in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh from 15th to 21st November, 2017. Hundreds of people attended the marvellous event. The program received energetic gratitude from the guests and visitors. The divinity of the Katha kept the audience captive, and the transcendental bhajans filled the atmosphere with mystical emotions.

The Katha orator Sadhvi Padamhasta Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, flawlessly narrated Katha with innumerable shlokas. Shrimad Bhagwat provides that light which enables human being to experience the wonderful freedom of liberation. Shrimad Bhagwat is an exposition, which explains human life very clearly, it is a direction leading to the ultimate liberation of the soul. It is such a wonderful, sublime scripture that King Parikshit who had only seven days to live is said to have attained liberation from ignorance by listening to seven-day narration of Bhagwat Katha.

Lord Krishna is known as “The Destructor of Evil”. He showed the people how to fight injustice and perform their duty. He has an eternal, blissful, spiritual body. He was able to remain detached and thus perform flawlessly, never allowing the smile to fall from his face. His life was a perfect example of how to remain unscorched in the midst of worldly fire.

Lord Krishna has played various parts during His stay in the world. He drove the chariot of Arjuna. Sri Krishna’s political insight and wise statesmanship were admired by the ablest rulers of his time. His wise counsel was sought by kings and rulers. Every word of Lord Krishna’s teachings and every act of His is full of grand object-lessons of momentous import to humanity in a variety of ways. You might be able to count the stars and even the particles of sand in the seashore but it is not possible to count the marvellous and glorious actions of Sri Krishna - The Lord of three worlds.
The orator further stated that except by devotion that is acquired through the association of Guru, there is hardly any other way for attaining salvation. With the axe of knowledge sharpened by the one-pointed devotion acquired by the service and worship of the Guru, do thou calmly and steadily cut as under this tree of Samsara and on attaining Paramatman do thou lay down thy weapon i.e., stop your endeavour to attain Self-realisation. The mind shakes off its impurities and its tendencies of Karma and desire for work by means of the divine art of meditation, regains its own true form and attains the Lord of Universe.
