A new space for learning has taken shape at DJJS Nehru Place, Delhi, as Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK) inaugurated SYAHI – Adult Literacy Centre on 20 September 2026. Designed to make foundational literacy accessible to adults aged 21 and above, the initiative bridges educational disparities by fostering self-reliance, social dignity, and personal empowerment through literacy.
At the inauguration, Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Program Coordinator, DJJS Manthan SVK, and Sadhvi Shripada Bharti Ji, DJJS Nehru Place Branch Coordinator, presented ID cards and stationery kits to twelve beneficiaries, formally commencing their learning journey with SYAHI. With the formal launch of SYAHI, the centre is set to provide learners with a structured and supportive environment to develop essential reading and writing skills.
Broadening its social footprint beyond the physical centre, SYAHI also integrates virtual outreach through dedicated Hastakshar Shivir sessions, bringing literacy education to those who wish to continue learning from home.
The inauguration was further enlivened by heartfelt testimonials from the beneficiaries, who spoke about their experiences of learning with SYAHI and the confidence that comes with acquiring essential literacy skills. Their reflections highlighted the practical value of education in everyday life—from reading and writing independently to engaging with the world around them with greater ease.
With the divine blessings of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the launch of SYAHI – Adult Literacy Centre marks a new milestone in Manthan SVK’s educational outreach, bringing a renewed focus on adult learning and creating momentum for many more learners to take their first steps towards literacy.
