When we happen to come across the ideal book for us, it acts like a mirror where we encounter different facets of our lives, the facets which we hide from outer world or the facets which we are not ready to accept. It provides an extraordinarily clearer and better organised account of self, without being judgemental. That’s why books are always being close to one’s heart. Despite of so much technology and digitisation, nothing can replace the smell of a new book, favourite author or a grip of book in our hand vis-a-vis an electronic tablet. Many a times books can be answers to questions we didn’t even know existed. Our scriptures also present enigma on the divine power or nature emanating from the Supreme Being and playing various roles in the operation of universe. An inquisitive may read those but may or may not be able to reflect of upon the revelations. However, as it’s rightly said:
To Read without reflecting is like eating without digesting – Edmund Burke
