Bharat is a scared land, a land visualized by Mahayogi Aurobindo as the living manifestation of the Divine Mother of the Universe. This is a land worshipped by our seers and sages since ages. However, the same Matrabhoomi, today can no longer be called sacred. A land where women are disrespected and violated cannot be termed ‘sacred’ and ‘pious’ any more.
This age of cruelty against women can easily be termed as a ‘Dark Age’. From female foeticide to rapes, sexual harassment, domestic violence etc., women have borne enough pain. Unless and until women realise their true worth and power, they would never get rid of this prejudice.

In order to make women realize their true potential and awaken their inner divine power, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) – a non-government, non-profit and a leading socio-spiritual organization, headed and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, organized a Mata Ki Chowki on March 20th, 2016 at Sirsa, Haryana.

The program commenced with a prayer at the lotus feet of Goddess Durga which was followed by a series of mesmerising and divine devotional bhajans. The spiritual orator of the day- Sadhvi Manglawati Bharti Ji beautifully revealed the divine meanings behind the divine acts of The Goddesses. She also spoke about the devastating effects of the increasing epidemic of objectifying women in almost every arena. Sadhvi Ji emphasised that the only solution to all these problems is to experience God within oneself, which is possible only through Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan). Brahm Gyan is the only tool that can turn a victim into a fighter and help women regain their position and respect in the society.

All the women present in the audience realised that only spiritual awakening can empower them and give them the life and position they deserve.
“The simplest and most basic meaning of the symbol of the Goddess is the acknowledgement of the legitimacy of the female power as a beneficent and independent power”- Carol P. Christ
