Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under its Aarogya program organized an eye check-up camp at Sahuwala, Sirsa (Haryana) for two consecutive Sundays, 23rd and 30th December 2012. Specially devised for the underprivileged, the camp witnessed over 400 beneficiaries availing the free services.
Starting from 10am to 2pm, the camp was organized in collaboration with Amit Wasil Eye Hospital and Research Centre (Sirsa). The number of beneficiaries included one-third children along with natives of Sahuwala and surrounding villages.
Sadhvi Aditi Bharti, Sadhvi Geeta Bharti and Sadhvi Eshwari Bharti ensured the proper functioning of the event. Dr.Amit Wasil, Retina Specialist, Venu Eye Institute, New Delhi examined all the patients. Free medicines were provided to all the patients, most of who suffered from Myopia, Glaucoma or Cataract.
