As is the saying, “Health is the real wealth”, therefore, maintaining one’s health is a very important part of life. Healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Manthan-SVK, an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is working relentlessly for the benefit of underprivileged children of the society. Manthan not only focuses on their education but also their physical and mental well being. To ensure this, several health camps are organized at regular intervals in the centres. On World Health day 2019, multiple medical camps were organized in the all centres of Manthan-SVKs in the month of April.

Health check up camps organized @ Manthan-SVK on the occasion of World Health Day

In the Shakurpur centre, dental camp was organized by Sai Mobident Dental center. Esteemed doctors such as Dr. Abhinav, Dr. Laveesha, Dr. Mahar and Dr. Kuldeep gave their time and services for the check-up of children. Both students and parents were the beneficiary of this camp. Doctors shared a number of good oral health tips with the students. The students that were found having some oral problems was provided with free mouth gel and mouth wash.  The doctors were kind enough to demonstrate the proper brushing technique with the students and parents. At other centres, general health checks up camps were organized. In Vikas Puri centre, Dr. Preeti Thakur diagnosed the children. At Mongolpuri centre, Dr. Shailendra and at Rithala centre, Dr. N K Pal was available. For the Badli centre, Dr. D.S Chauhan and Dr. Neha Tyagi MBBS MD (Pathology), was available whereas for Ambala (Haryana) centre, Dr Neha Mittal of civil hospital Ambala and his team contributed for the noble cause. All the camps were very successful and helped the students to maintain their well being. The students participated in the camp with full enthusiasm and presented the doctors with handmade thank you cards. Doctors were very happy to be a part of such an initiative.
