Devotional songs enchanted glories of Maa Durga. Through melodious and thought provoking devotional bhajans, the preachers sang the praises of the Mother Goddess.

The orator explained that Goddess Durga is depicted as a warrior woman with eight hands, carrying weapons of different kinds, and assuming mudras (symbolic hand gestures) that represent her teachings. The Divine Goddess represents the supreme power behind creation, preservation and destruction of the world. She is the divine personification of the combined energies of all the gods in the form of weapons and emblems (Mudras) and protects her devotees from the evils of the world.

The process of harnessing our inner energies is referred to as ‘Shakti Jagran’, which is symbolized by the Jagrans that are organized to worship Goddess Durga. We really need to understand the true objective of religion, which is the sign of divinity within humans. And, when a Perfect Spiritual Master bestows the Divine-Knowledge (Brahm Gyan), the journey towards self-realization begins. It is the immediate and direct perception of the Inner Self (Soul/Atman - Particle of Parmatman) at the very moment of initiation. In spiritual parlance, it is the process of seeing and realizing the True Self (Atman) within the human body through the subtle faculty of Third Eye (Divine Eye).

Jagran proved to be beneficial for hundreds of devotees as they learned about their true potential and, key to connect with God and lead a better life. The event was concluded with Aarti Vandana, followed by Prasad distribution.
