Pearls of Meditation and Yoga amidst Waters of North Sea

In the stress laden life of today where some moments of peace are like pearl in an ocean, if a human being gets that pearl amidst its voyage, the day is made. Rest of the journey can be stress free, relaxed and balanced if we cherish that pearl forever. This is exactly what happened to many travelers aboard a cruise in Germany.

DJJS (Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan), UK branch provided that opportunity by organizing a session in a cruise Ship known as ‘Queen Elizabeth’ whilst docked in the waters of North Sea at the Port of Hamburg. The first part of the session was from 1130 to 1300 hours and the second one was from 1330 to 1500 hours. The session commenced with an interactive discussion on good and bad stress and the working pattern of ‘Mind’. The disciples of Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head and Convener of DJJS) explained the working patterns of mind with simplicity and finesse. They used the simple tools like mappings, diagrammatic quizzes and pictorial representations.

The attendees included individuals from various diverse countries and cultures like Philippines, Hungary, India, UK and Czech Republic etc. Amongst the attendees were our guest Ms. Anna Thomas (Human Resource manager of Cunard Line (Carnival UK)). The audience were listening with apt attention and were inquisitive to know more on the subject. It was like tip of the iceberg. From mind, the natural progression for them was to know about meditation. The inquisitive minds also discussed the commercialized forms of meditation techniques prevalent today with the preachers. Preachers exquisitely differentiated between the commercialized techniques and ‘Brahm Gyan’ based meditation technique. The underlying principles of ‘Brahm Gyan’ and its benefits were well received.

Attendees were then warmed up to perform basic yogic movements to enable them to practice basic meditation for the remainder of the session. Yoga has been on international arena for some time now, so everyone wanted to learn the basics.

At the end of the session there was total serenity and peace in the atmosphere, a perfect setting to create and achieve great heights. For some hours, everyone could delve into the space of being NOTHING and think NOTHING, thereby calming their nerves and minds. The event was very well received and appreciated by everyone.
