Keeping the spirit of this thought in mind, a comprehensive Life Skills workshop on Exam Preparation was conducted on 1st January at Manthan SVK. It was held by Sadhvi Aneesha Bharti Ji, Preacher, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan; over 50 students were present in the workshop.

Manthan SVK employs the approach of organising regular Life Skills workshops. This is based on one of the most crucial goals of the initiative: that along with imparting academic excellence and moral values to children, we must also focus on their mental wellness. Since Life Skills workshops add to mental well-being, they positively impact the academic growth of the students as well.

The theme for the aforementioned session was effective Exam Preparation and the session included issues like handling exam stress and keeping oneself healthy during exam time. Interactive presentations with visuals helped students understand how to stay goal-oriented and remedy stress and anxiety. Important concepts like forming study habits and observing one’s own learning behaviours were discussed. Students were taught the importance of making time-tables for better time management and coverage of syllabus. The students were also taught about taking time for recreation and wellness amid long hours of study. Tips on staying self-motivated, eating a healthy diet, reading questions carefully, mnemonics etc. were also shared with the students.

Sadhvi ji also taught pranayama and various mudras to the students as part of Vedic healing practices to energize their minds and enhance focus and concentration. The session proved to be a holistic one consisting of creative solutions to all study and wellness-related issues faced by the students.
