Someone has rightly said that “the outer world is a reflection of inner world”. Unless we establish peace within ourselves, we cannot establish it in the outer world also. Bhakti leads to peace of mind—a quiet, calm mental state that is not subject to constant anxiety when pressures build.
From early childhood itself, young minds are driven towards seeking knowledge and blessed are those who get the guidance to move away from the darkness of ignorance towards illuminating wisdom. In Indian scriptures, since Vedic age, the significance of 'Guru', and 'Shishya', is highlighted. In the Gita, Krishna speaks to Arjuna about the importance of finding a guru. Our Scriptures proclaims that a true guru is one who has the power to connect us to the Supreme Power by bestowing upon us the nectar of Divine Knowledge.
Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (“DJJS”) organizes spiritual congregation every month at Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab to keep the spark of bhakti scorching within the hearts of masses. Thousands of devotees who have been enlightened from within and learned the art of bhakti with the valuable grace of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS) are now awaken souls. Varying in age groups, varying in creeds, devotees come from far and near to attend the discourses each month. This month, the peaceful congregation held on 11th February, 2018.
The profound words of spiritual discourses addressed by the preachers of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji were full of spiritual spirit and awakened the disciples and encouraged each one towards the path of Bhakti. The Guru is like a touchstone that can transform iron into gold. Even if you are incapable and incompetent, he will take you to the peaks of success and triumphs for sure. The Guru is the one who nurtures his disciples with fathomless love and competent knowledge and ensures them his divine protection against the evils lurking in the society. A Guru, with his pure love and faith, gives his disciple a strong foundational support, upon which a disciple resolutely treads the path of his life while making the correct decisions. The one thing necessary to get this grace of Guru is to be stripped of our vanities — the sense that we possess any spiritual wisdom — and to surrender ourselves completely to the guidance of our Guru. The Guru only knows what will lead us towards perfection. This sort of humility will open the door of our heart for spiritual truths. Complete self-surrender is the only way to spiritual illumination.
The valuable experiences shared by the Preachers would help to bring constructive changes into the lives of masses. The program once again acted as much needed booster dose so that devotees can stead the path of bhakti with full vigour. Grand feast was the part of spiritual congregation where vast number of people contributed their selfless service and sat together for a meal as a part of large DJJS family.
