Chanakya once said, “the biggest power in the world is Youth.” To harness this tremendous raw pool of energy in nation building and under its pledge to provide a righteous direction to these young minds, SAM marked its presence at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, DU on 14th June to celebrate Yuva- Utsav India@2047- a government initiative conducted by Department of Youth Affairs. The event was organized under the banner of ‘Yuva Shakti se Jan Bhagidari’ along with the theme of ‘Panch Pran’ given by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji in his Independence Day speech.
The initiative aims to awaken the revolutionaries within each young individual and bring them into action to contribute to nation building and in re-establishing Bharat as the global leader. The event sought to provide budding Artists, Photographers, Orators, and other traditional performers a platform to express their talents all under the banner of the ‘Panch Pran’ and ‘India@2047’ themes.
The event witnessed several departments from Central Ministry showcasing their initiatives and vision for the youth and inspiring them to think beyond the ordinary and go limitless. Poonam Chauhan, Vice President (BJP, NE Delhi), Shri Ajay Mahawar, MLA (Ghonda, BJP), Dr. Sandeep Gautam, CMO (NE Delhi), and Shri S. K. Babbar, Dist. Youth Officer (NE Delhi) were some of the names present among other dignitaries. Students were thrilled to take part in various competitions organized in the college’s premises.
SAM, the youth empowerment drive of DJJS received an invitation to this esteemed event by honorary Dist. Youth Officer NE Delhi) Shri S. K Babbar ji who believes in SAM’s mission and vision. SAM Director, Sadhvi Dr. Shivani Bharti Ji also marked the event with her gracious presence and received a warm welcome from Shri G.K. Arora, Dean, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College. During the event SAM volunteers interacted with these future leaders and inspired them to realize their true potential and work towards bringing inner transformation through Self-realisation which is the core philosophy of SAM.
SAM being the pioneer in transforming young minds through practical and scientific approach, exhibited the organization’s rich publications through a stall cum IEC centre setup. It enlightened participants about SAM’s numerous campaigns undertaken addressing critical issues relevant to young generation such as Honouring youth icons, Heritage Conservation, Nation Building, to name a few, and which have had a positive impact on thousands of lives since its inception. The participants and dignitaries were filled with awe to witness SAM’s noble mission and its innovative campaigns, selfless service to the society and commitment to empower and transform the young minds. The dignitaries were seen taking a copy with them appreciating the invaluable insight these works carry.
