"Even if one is the most sinful of all sinners, yet one shall cross over the ocean of sin by the raft of knowledge alone."- This proclamation from Bhagwat Gita is indeed the very substance of spiritual journey for a human being. Only when a human takes shelter of “Perfect Master” or Satguru, can one attend this science of divine knowledge and crossover this worldly ocean to reunite with the “Supreme”. This fire of Divine Knowledge burns all karmas to ashes. The God of infinite and sublime love manifests thyself in the human form persistently to sprinkle the seeds of this knowledge over the mankind and reveal our true self that is free from all bondages, sins, attachments. In order to evoke myriad souls on this path of awareness, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, a leading socio-spiritual organisation, founded and headed by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji organised a seven day Shrimad Bhagwat Katha program at Ludhiana, Punjab from 20th to 26thNovember, 2017.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Ludhiana Evokes Myriad Souls on the Path of Awareness

The learned Katha orator Sadhvi Kalindi Bharti Ji articulated various acts or Leelas of Lord Krishna with the present day modern world. She presented the analysis of prevailing situation wherein we have lot of organisations and self-proclaimed Gurus preaching spirituality. A lot of books are being written, lectures are being delivered, and we commonly hear words like Self-Realisation, Higher Consciousness, Meditation, diving into inner self. However, all these efforts are far from any practical application according to methodology suggested in all our scriptures. This can be colligated with the case in Bhagwat Gita wherein Lord Krishna till 11thchapter preaches various lessons to Arjuna amidst battlefield related to nishkaam karma, non-attachment, true religion etc; for him to perform his duty but it fails to change to Arjuna’s mind. Only when Lord Krishna imparts that Divine Knowledge which opens the third eye of Arjun within and he sees the oneness which ends his mental disarray. This is the sterling example in the history that explains mere words are of no use and the God must be realized practically. Only the Guru who can practically show us God’s elemental form which is light within us and even to a blind person, is a True Guru. Brahm Gyan or Divine Knowledge is subject matter beyond our senses and is the right of every human being regardless of any physical disabilities.

When a disciple under the guidance of his/her Perfect Master treads on this path, the soul is empowered to make knowledgeable decisions, free from trails and deterrents of normal life. As Lord Krishna explains - "Established in Self-Realization, one is not moved even by the greatest calamity."

The Bhagwat Purana is one of the oldest Maha Puranic scripture. The program commenced with the recitation of Vedic Hymns in Sanskrit by young learned preacher disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The devotees enjoyed classical music as musicians sang euphonious songs and played musical instruments adeptly. The event turned out to be one of its kind and submerged everyone present there into the feeling of bliss, a pursuit possible only with the grace of Satguru.
