This Diwali, Sapient Consulting Pvt. Ltd., one of the corporates at Gurugram, Haryana, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility volunteered at Gurugram Manthan SVK Centre on 16th of October, 2017. 10 Sapient volunteers arrived all set with pastel sheets, chart papers, crayons, sketch pens and stickers and what not, and had a fun day with over 50 Manthanites.
Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra, an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, working towards making the less privileged become the most privileged by getting the quality education they deserve. Sapient celebrated Diwali with Manthanites to share the care and experience the joy in giving back. The added motto was also to be eco-friendly and instill the value and significance of the festival in the hearts and minds of young Manthanites.
Sapient volunteers conducted creative activities and innovative discussions with the children. Diwali greetings were exchanged with the children through Card Making Activities using loads of exciting stationery brought in by the volunteers. They also distributed sweets and refreshments along with surprising the children with special Diwali gifts of story books and much more.
It was indeed a remarkable step to come out of the comfort zones and share the joy with someone who is less privileged. Manthan SVK pays its humble gratitude towards the volunteers and organizations coming forward to make the Vision of Sakshar Bharat-Sashakt Bharat a reality.
