Though considered the seventh avatar (human incarnation) of Lord Vishnu, Shri Ram was the embodiment of the highest spiritual evolution to be attained by any human. But what was the source of Shri Ram’s spiritual serenity? To answer this question a seven day Shri Ram Katha was organized by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) under the grace of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji at Dilshad Garden, Delhi from 10th to 16th June 2017. The Katha orator was Sadhvi Deepika Bharti Ji. The Katha was the culmination of sustained efforts of many preacher disciples of DJJS.

Addressing a huge audience gathered to attend the Katha, Sadhvi Deepika Bharti Ji said that Shri Ram was the son of  king  Dasharatha and was about to inherit the kingdom when his step-mother Kaikeyi, being ill-advised by her maidservant Manthara, demanded his banishment to the forest so as to make her own son Bharat the king. Shri Ram did not even for once question his step-mother’s demand and took leave from the kingdom along with Devi Sita and brother Lakshman. Shri Ram remained calm not only during this event but throughout the course of his exile. Shri Ram did not lose his wisdom and inner strength even when the demon Ravana abducted Devi Sita. The source of Shri Ram’s self-composure was his soul which was tranquil because of his awareness of the true self.

Shri Ram was initiated into the knowledge of the self by his spiritual teacher Rishi Vashistha. Rishi Vashistha, one of the seven great Rishis (Saptarishis), taught Shri Ram until the age of sixteen. Rishi Vashistha not only taught Shri Ram and his three brothers about the ancient scriptures and the art of warfare but also the art of inner awakening. He bestowed on Shri Ram the ancient knowledge of the universal consciousness. It was this knowledge that helped Shri Ram successfully sail through the toughest moments of his human life.

Sadhvi Ji said that like Shri Ram we all can attain that ancient knowledge and live a positive life in which we may or may not get worldly comforts but will ever have the comfort of the shinning inner self. This knowledge is hailed by the ancient Sages as Brahm Gyan. The knowledge which can only be realized by any human, with the grace of an awakened spiritual Master. His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is one such spiritual teacher fully capable of awakening any spiritual seeker. Sadhvi Ji concluded the Katha by extending a cordial invitation to one and all to attain Brahm Gyan from DJJS’s revered Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
