Ghaziabad: Observing International Day against Drug Abuse, Vijay Public School, Arthla invited expert facilitators of Ghaziabad branch to talk on the issue of drug abuse and it’s aftereffects amongst its students. In a 1.5 hour workshop session, through anchoring, skit, lecture and interactive activities, disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Head and founder of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Sadhvi Shweta Bharti Ji opened the session with some ice breaking activities and directly came to point that despite knowing every good and bad in life, why do we fail to resist the bad and cannot stand for the good. Children from different classes having varied mindsets answered and unanimously found ‘lack of will power’ as the main reason of it. Sadhvi ji then through various videos, demonstrations and storytelling mechanisms put forth the ways through which ‘will power’ can be increased and therefore wise and timely decisions can be made.
More than 200 students along with 10 teachers attended this workshop and also appreciated the program. The principal of the school also conferred some token of gratitude to the organization for its selfless and exemplary work in the field of drug abuse prevention. At the end all took pledge to remain away from such lethal substances and expressed to spread the message to their loved ones.
