Bodh- the Drug Abuse Eradication Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is working incessantly on the prevention of drug abuse amongst all age groups, especially the students and the youth.
In the same capacity, a “SAY NO” Workshop was hosted at Tula's Institute in Dehradun, Uttarakhand to educate more than 1400 students and teachers about the pernicious consequences of substance abuse. Through a series of interactive and educative tools like demonstrations, skit performance, video screening and lectures, students were encouraged to discuss their problems like peer pressure, exam anxiety, inferiority complex etc. with their teachers and parents rather than finding an easy escape in addictive substances like Alcohol or cigarettes. They were explained how these gateway drugs pretend to be mediums of inclusion within friend circle or at workplaces, but end up isolating a person from their self and people around. Thus, best choice is to “SAY NO” the first and every other time an offer is made to them.
The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Sandeep Vijay, Director of Tula's Institute, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Registrar, Dr. Nishant Saxena, Dean Academics, and Dr. Ranit Kishore, Dean Management & Agriculture and many more teachers. All the faculties and Staff highly appreciated the program along with the efforts done by Bodh- drug abuse program of organization, in the field of drug abuse.
