Shri Guru Purnima occupies a unique place in the heart of every disciple, for it is a day dedicated to remembering the Guru's immeasurable grace and His teachings. In this sacred spirit, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) celebrated the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Purnima Mahotsav 2026 on 29th July 2026 at Nurmahal, Punjab. Thousands of devotees assembled to offer their devotions at the lotus feet of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Founder and Head of DJJS. In that divine ambience, every prayer, every offering, and every moment became an expression of gratitude towards the Divya Guru, whose boundless grace illuminates the lives of countless seekers.
The Mahotsav commenced with the chanting of Vedic mantras by the Brahm Gyani Vedpathis of DJJS, creating an ambience of spiritual sanctity. The programme featured Guru Pujan, Mangal Aarti, devotional bhajans, spiritual discourses, and collective meditation. As the resonant chants gave way to beautiful devotional bhajans, the atmosphere blossomed into an ocean of devotion and bliss. Among the most moving moments of the Mahotsav were the Guru Pujan and Mangal Aarti, offered at the holy feet of Divya Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. With folded hands and hearts filled with gratitude, disciples offered salutations to the Divine Master. In those blessed moments, every soul experienced the comforting embrace of the Guru's infinite grace.
The spiritual congregation was further enriched by enlightening discourses delivered by Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Tapaswini Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Manaswini Bharti, Swami Sajjnanand Ji, and Swami Mohanpuri Ji, representatives of DJJS. Drawing upon scriptural references and inspiring real-life experiences, the speakers beautifully unfolded the timeless glory of the Guru-Shishya relationship and explained how the guidance of a True Guru enables an aspirant to progress on the spiritual path.
They emphasised that the Guru's compassion transcends worldly limitations, guiding and protecting the disciple through every stage of spiritual evolution. Through several inspiring examples from history and the scriptures, the speakers explained how unwavering faith, complete surrender, sincere meditation, selfless service, and steadfast adherence to the Guru's teachings have always formed the foundation of true discipleship. They further observed that while the Guru's grace is infinite and unconditional, a disciple honours that grace by living according to the Guru's guidance with humility, dedication, and gratitude.
Several eminent guests also attended the Mahotsav and paid their respectful tributes at the holy feet of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
The Mahotsav concluded with a collective meditation session, during which thousands of devotees prayed for universal peace, harmony, and the welfare of humanity. Thereafter, a community feast (Prasad) was organised, where dedicated volunteers served devotees with humility and a spirit of selfless service.
