Manthan-SVK, the holistic education program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Santhan, not only pays attention to the academic upliftment of its students but also on their social, cultural and spiritual upliftment. For this the uncommon but significant Diwas and Jayantis are celebrated to sustain pious Indian fervor. In this series, Surdas Jayanti, Shankaracharya Jayanti and Earth Day were celebrated at all centers of SVK on 21 April 2018.

Celebration of Surdas Jayanti, Shankaracharya Jayanti and Earth Day at Manthan SVKs

While celebrating Surdas and Adi Guru Shankaracharya Jayanti students learned about two of the great saints of India and their contribution in revival and upliftment of ancient cultural values in the hearts of Indians. Each of their works was a magnum opus and a priceless heritage for all of us. Whereas, while celebrating the Earth Day students pledged to protect the greenery, natural resources and the beauty that our planet has generously bestowed upon us by translating the vision of clean and green India into action.  Students also pledged to protect and take care of at least one plant in their neighborhood by watering it every day.

The day taught the students not only to respect our great lineage of Saints but our mother Earth too.
