Keeping Chandigarh in focus, responsibility fixation for environmental damage, society's preparedness to face the consequences of this damage and potential future course of action were some recurring themes of the evening.

Sadhvi Manendra Bharti, Sanrakshan expert & ascetic disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, gave an enlightening talk, highlighting thought process/ mindset as the root cause of the menace of anti-environment behavior in individuals. Leading the audience towards solution, she stated that “initiation into practical spirituality by the wise ones has been basis of pro- environmental behavior and living in India since time immemorial. Disconnect with the meaning of true spirituality has led to moral degradation and lapses of human- nature relationship is a consequence of the same.  Through self-realization, inter- connectedness with nature is realized, and then is a state of harmony and sense of belonging with the environment harnessed. Apprising the audience regarding the uniqueness of My Earth My Responsibility as an environmental initiative, she stated, that “Carved by the divine wisdom of His Holiness of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Head and founder of DJJS, MEMR is the first ever campaign which brings the instrumentality of mindset transforming science, the eternal science of self-realization along with contemporary awareness generation and engagement tools to steer a society towards sustainable living”.
