In the continuous effort to make our youngsters realize and contribute towards their social responsibilities, 80 students along with the teachers form Delhi Public school (DPS) Ludhiana visited the Manthan SVK center of Ludhiana on 19th Dec, 2016. A brief introduction of the Manthan social initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) was presented to the students by Sadhvi Rajni Bharti Ji and Sadhvi Veeresha Bharti Ji, Preachers DJJS. Thereafter, DPS students very excitedly taught puppet making and various art and craft materials to Manthanites. Children throroughly enjoyed the activities which were then followed by playing various indoor and outdoor games together. The winners of the games were also given prizes by the DPS teachers and DJJS Preachers.
In the concluding session, all DPS students and Manthanites prepared Bhelpuri dish and relished together. It was nonetheless a learning experience for the students and a perfect example of bridging the existing gaps between the rich and the poor. A sense of responsibility and an urge to up bring up the standards of learning and growing was clearly witnessed in the students. Teachers DPS appreciated the selfless efforts being done by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s Manthan SVK Program in providing quality education to the underprivileged children so that they no more remain deprived or demoralized and become a substantial unit in nation’s growth .
