Throughout the journey of our life, we get influenced and motivated by one or the other instructor. Therefore, the need of a teacher is vital in the worldly and spiritual life of an aspirant.
To apprise the people about the need of a Spiritual Mentor in life of a devotee, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (“DJJS”) participated at Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair held in Gurugram, Haryana on 2nd February, 2019. The representative of DJJS, Sadhvi Shweta Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji spoke in detail on the topic “Aacharya Vandan” and explained the role and importance of a Guru in spiritual development of a disciple.
She aptly stated that even to succeed in worldly life one needs a good guru, a guide, a counsellor or a subject expert. Similarly, for getting liberated from the shackles of birth and death - to attain supreme bliss and liberation from this world one should seek guidance of a Spiritual Mentor (“Guru”). A guru is not a substitute for books for scriptural knowledge, just as having little knowledge of few diseases does not preclude the need for a Doctor. Rather, He is a living God, an aspect of God or a representative of God with access to the knowledge of God and liberation. The one who can show us divine light within, dispelling the darkness of ignorance is a True Guru or a Perfect Master.
A Spiritual Mentor takes care of His disciples like a mother– selflessly, with utmost concern and kindness! Indeed, His caring and loving guidance has the power to fill the void created due to depravity in the world. He lifts our Soul from those unkind and immoral values by imparting the divine knowledge (“Meditation">Brahm Gyan”). It is this knowledge that alone can shatter the illusion of today’s youth and make them attain true happiness; happiness that is not dependent on worldly achievements.
Thus, it is advisable to seek the refuge and guidance of a Spiritual Mentor for experiencing the supreme science of God.
