In the chaotic and busy life of today, every one strives for a balance between personal and professional life be it a child or adult. Pressure is enormous since demands are enormous. This balance that one strives for can’t be achieved by just reading scriptures and holy books.
To achieve this balance, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), Bengaluru branch organized a two day spiritual program ‘Geeta Gyan Saar' on Aug. 27 and 28 for the locals and devotees residing in Marathalli area of Bengaluru. The program began with bhajans at the lotus feet of lord. Sadhvi Ritu Bharti Ji, disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (convener and founder of DJJS) elucidated the importance of Bhagwad Geeta to the audience.
She said that the words by sages like Swami Vivekananda; Saint Aurobindo etc. further highlights the importance and application of Geeta in day to day life. She said that Bhagwad Geeta is the essence of all Vedas and scriptures. The sages gave a beautiful comparison saying that all Upanishads are like cows, the milker is Sri Krishna the cowherd boy, Arjuna is the calf, men of purified intellect are the drinkers, and the ambrosia of the Gita is the milk.
Sadhvi Prapoorna Bharti Ji said that Lord Krishna has stressed on Karma Yoga in Bhagwad Geeta but we must first understand what the Karma, right duty is and how it leads to Yoga that is communion with God. All this cannot be understood by reading and contemplation only. One must act on it and understand it practically using ‘Brahm Gyan’ meditation technique for which we must approach a perfect spiritual master of the time as advised by Shri Krishna. The program ended with Aarti and Prasad distribution. Young disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji had set up stalls of social projects of DJJS. Many participants enquired about the organization and discussed their spiritual queries. The gist of Geeta was well imbibed and people resolved to tread on its path.
