Guru is the one who removes the ignorance of disorder from his disciple’s life and teaches how to live a blissful life. ‘Guru Purnima’, the day that celebrates the essence of the timeless relationship of Guru- shishya is a testimony of this fact. In the current situation of spread of Pandemic COVID-19, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (“DJJS”) brought a very special program on the eve of Guru Purnima for Devotees on 5th July, 2020, in form of live webcast on YouTube and Facebook, from Divya Dham Ashram, Delhi and Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab. Innumerable Devotees from across the world connected online to celebrate the pious day with holy reminiscence of Gurudev. Various devotional, melodious bhajans were sung in the divine memories of Shri Gurudev. After the systematic proceedings of worship, Aarti was sung unanimously, with one heart and soul.
Guru Purnima 2020 was indeed special and different, where every Disciple’s soul yearned for the presence of Gurudev even more. The Divine knowledge that revered master Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head and Founder – DJJS) has bestowed upon us is the greatest gift that we can ever ask for - eternal technique of Brahm Gyan. His effulgence, his radiance, his holiness, his transcendence, cannot be chained in words. When he speaks, he fills the hearts with the rich music of his wise words, and the richer music of his heart. Indeed, his every breath is a teaching! How can we ever honour and revere this personage enough? The auspicious occasion was celebrated with devotion in its full swing in the hermitage of DJJS.
Even with all the success and achievements in life, all efforts go in vain if the guidance of the Perfect Master is missing. This auspicious day of Guru Purnima is solely dedicated to the spiritual master and mark very special place in the hearts of all disciples. This day full of devotion, brings the unique opportunity to worship the Guru and along with it come moments and experiences that every disciple wants to behold forever. It is the devotion towards Guru only that can lift a man from an unfathomable ditch of ignorance, for it is through Him only that a man can enlighten his whole life after the achievement of Divine Knowledge. He tirelessly works on his disciples, always standing by his side, and, what to say of the pure, unconditional love that Guru showers upon his disciples.
The Learned Preacher disciples of Gurudev through their edifying discourses dispersed the seeds of wisdom filled with emotions. We are born to new life, we grow and develop in our spiritual lives, and one day we will be completely transformed into God’s likeness. This would be possible only if we keep faith on our spiritual mentor. The Guru stretches us, forces us to leave the comforting shores of the known, and venture into the dark unknown with only his voice to guide us. He goads us to grow – surrender the anger, cultivate patience, let go of dependence, overcome attachment, cultivate courage, and so on.
It is the need of an hour that the ones who have realised our True Self by the grace of Gurudev, need to come together to trigger a bigger change. The day is not far away when this earth will once again witness and be blessed with the physical presence of Gurudev enlightening all in spirituality.
It proved to be yet another important day in the life of disciples and gifted each one the treasure of Guru Bhakti, determination and enthusiasm.
