The Government of Britain launched a consultation on whether the word ‘caste’ should be added in the Equality Act’ to the wider public, employers, service providers and public authorities.
DJJS UK was invited on 5th July 2017 to participate in this public consultation with the top Hindu and Non-Hindu Bureaucrats to offer responses where possible. Many intellectuals and highly designated people marked their valuable presence in the workshop, such as Mr Trupati Patel (President, Hindu Forum Britain), Mr Bob Blackman (Member of Parliament, House of Commons), Lord Navnit Dholakia (Deputy Leader of Liberal Democrats, House of Lords), Dr Vinaya Sharma (General Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad), Pd. Sarish K Sharma (General Secretary, National Council of Hindu Temples UK).
From DJJS UK, Shri Kabir Ji informed the audience regarding Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s commendable work in the UK and abroad in promoting equality with the grace of Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Swami Ji told how through different social projects, DJJS UK is progressing towards its goals. All his words were well appreciated and well received.
