Today, it is widely accepted among the scientists that the current generation is facing an all-time high health related problem, i.e., psychological stress. The triggers for stress range from environmental noise to the inner clamor for outward approval of one’s existence. The side effects of stress can damage a person in more ways than one. For instance, stress essentially affects the production of two health inducing neurotransmitters/ hormones called melatonin and serotonin. Low production of melatonin hormone in the brain results in decreased sleep leading, more often than not, to insomnia. On the other hand, low levels of serotonin hormone cause depression and anxiety.

To make people aware of this everlasting solution, an intellectually and spiritually stimulating workshop was held by DJJS, with the blessings of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, at London (United Kingdom) on 6th April 2019. The primary aim of the workshop was not just to discuss the issue of mental stress but also to convey one of the most concrete solutions to it.

Sadhvi Bhakti Priya Bharti Ji and Brother Kabir Ji, preachers of DJJS, weaved a stunning workshop along with Dr. Deepak Kumar, Stem Cell Research and Application Manager at the Oxford University, as the presenter for the session. The workshop was attended by various dignitaries from diverse professional sectors. The special guests at the workshop were Dr. Raj Arora (General Practitioner at National Health Service), Ewa Szpernalowska (Consultant at Deloitte), Professor Ailson De Moraes (Senior Lecturer in the Royal Holloway's Department of Strategy and International Business at University of London), and Ageo Jaime Hamoy Sagaria (Retired Army Officer of the Philippines Armed Forces).

Doctors prescribe exercise and healthy diet as a solution to the problem of stress. However, though their benefits cannot be denied, a more powerful solution has always been the practice of meditation. Melatonin and serotonin are both produced by the pineal gland in the brain. Meditation is the easiest method to stimulate this gland; a gland which is regarded in the spiritual tradition as the third eye. Here, it is important to note that the correct art of meditation can only be learned from a true spiritual Master (Guru) and not from any book. A spiritual teacher opens the third eye of a person through the ancient technique of divine knowledge (also known as Brahm Gyan). With this technique, a person can practice meditation at any time and any place. An active pineal gland will produce an optimum level of healthy hormones resulting in the diffusion of mental stress forever. Thus, every human being must take divine knowledge from an enlightened Guru.
