The workshop “It’s a Girl” addressed not just girls but boy students also disseminating a profound thought of eradicating gender based discrimination at household level. The major highlights of the workshop were - Nukkad Natak, which focussed on the discriminative practices that our society possesses where daughters and sons are treated distinctively.  The act proved to be a mirror for the society and was followed by a choreography which elucidated daughters as fairies and thus generated love and blessings for the girl child.

A quiz on various cultural and societal reasons for son preference was held in which even the staff also participated. "Girls are always expected to behave in a particular manner - quiet, shy, simple, well mannered" said the Sadhvi Gender Trainer from DJJS.
