Amidst the tumultuous times around the world, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organised and celebrated Divine Shri Guru Purnima Mahotsav on 13th July 2022 at Nurmahal, Punjab with utmost vigour and reverence. Guru Purnima is an opportune moment for disciples to worship their revered Gurudeva and express humble gratitude at His lotus feet. Commencing the program with Mangal Aarti and Pujan of Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji filled the atmosphere with beatific vibrations and tranquillised the wavering minds of devotees.
The abode of Gurudeva was beautifully ornamented with flowers, lights, rangolis, artwork and a no. of majestic decorations. Divine and melodious music embedded with carefully composed inspirational lyrics engrossed everyone present at the program touching the hearts of devotees. Preacher disciples such as Sadhvi Manasvini Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, Swami Chinmayanand Ji, Swami Gurukripanand Ji, Swami Vishwanand Ji delivered series of mind-nourishing discourses, discussing the innumerable ways of Guru’s grace, bond of Guru-disciple relationship etc. They explained that the only reason God incarnates on earth as Satguru in human garb is to unconditionally shower his infinite grace and love onto his creation or devotees. And he does that by nurturing the eternal relationship i.e. of a Guru and a disciple. Such is his Love that he takes over the effects of bad karmas accumulated by disciples over many lives, onto himself. Such is his commitment that Guru takes anyone and everyone to the doorway of liberation who seeks his refuge.
When a disciple starts reciprocating by surrendering and loving his beloved Gurudev, then every moment of his/her life becomes a Guru Purnima Celebration. A life lived on the ideals of Perfect Master within his will and commands, is filled with absolute bliss and completely free from bondages of this material world.
While explaining the importance of Perfect Master in life, preachers quoted Lord Shiva from Guru Gita-
शिवपूजारतो वापि विषणउपूजारतोsथवा! गुरूतत्वविहीनश्चेतत्सर्व व्यर्थमेव हि!!
What difference does it make, even if you incessantly worship Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu unless you don’t receive Brahm Gyan/ Divine Knowledge from Perfect Master, for everything else is futile.
Hence it becomes pertinent for disciple to seize the golden opportunity bestowed by the Guru and turn oneself into a magnetic dynamo of divinity. The divine revelations on this path of spirituality are truly astounding and celestial, which can only be experienced by actually pursuing the path with allegiance and surrender.
Overwhelming emotions and hearts filled with devotion swamped through the venue, where the benign grace of Guru was clearly visible cementing relation with each disciple. Sumptuous and sattvic feast was followed by the program and the whole fleet of volunteers were seen serving unabatedly on every line of sewas they were assigned. Attendees felt blessed and fortunate to be in company of saints and to have visited the pious and holy abode of Perfect Master of this epoch.
