Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the holistic health program ‘Aarogya’, organized विलक्षण योग शिविर - three days empowering and energizing Yoga Camp at Nehru Park, Near Janta Bhawan, Distt. Sirsa, Haryana from 22nd to 23rd July 2017 and at Divya Yog Mandir, Old Kachahri Road, Sirsa on 24th July 2017. The camp was commenced by lamp lightening by Shri Sheila Sehgal, Chairperson of City Council with other eminent guests Sh. Manoj Dhahia (Secretary, DMEO), Smt. Neeru Sehgal (Former Councilor), Dr. M.R. Bansal, Sh. Vikas Setia (Secretary, Market Committee Bhat Mandi), Sh. Pradeep Gupta (Deputy Head of Chaudhary Devilal Guashala), and Sh. Vrender Nagpal (General Secretary of Patanjali Yog Samiti).

Holistic health and well-being ensured through ‘Vilakshan Yog Shivir’ at Sirsa

The sessions started with various warming up activities, followed by teaching of various Yogasans, and pranayama techniques by DJJS preacher and an adept in yoga, Swami Vigyananand ji. Simple yet profound yoga asanas and pranayam are taught for a healthier body and calm mind. Over 465 people (200 men, 225 women & 40 children) participated and reaped benefits from this yoga camp. Swami Ji enumerated the significance and benefits of Yoga & Pranayam to yoga practitioners and also the precautions to be observed during practicing yoga. He said that Yoga provides fitness on both physical and psychological level. It helps cope with chronic pain and negative emotions. Increases strength, flexibility, heart, and lung function and reduces the risk of heart disease by improving blood circulation throughout the body. Everyone present took a pledge to practice yoga daily. The session ended with Om chanting and recitation of mantras such as ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ and ‘Shanti Path’ (peace prayer) seeking health, peace and harmony for all.

The shivir was attended by different representatives of various yoga propagating organizations of Sirsa like Patanjali Yog Samiti, Bharat Swabhimaan Trust, Divya Yog Sadhana Mandir. On the occasion Shri Chanderpal Yogi ji, District Head of Bharat Swabhiman Trust felicitated Sw Vigyananad ji. Also the eminent guests Sh. Anil Dumra (Senior Vice President of Sirsa Club), Sh. Gulshan Gaba (General Secretary of Shri Rama Club Charitable Trust), Dr. Anjani Aggarwal (Director of Sanjiwani Hospital), Sh. R. K. Bhardawaj (Yogacharya of Divya Yog Mandir) and Advocate Ramesh Goyal graced the event by their august presence and participation. They appreciated the efforts of Sansthan for promoting Yoga as a significant tool for holistic health and well- being. The members of Divya Yog Sadhna Mandir requested Santhan to organize more vilakshan yog shivir in Divya Yog Sadhna Mandir itself. Saplings of tree were also planted in the premises of Nehru Park.
