Jaipur: After commemorating Annual Santulan Award events for six years, DJJS is now carrying through 7th Annual Santulan Awards in various regions of India and crediting icons of women empowerment. One such award ceremony was organized in Jaipur at Inderlok Auditorium, Narayan Singh Circle, Tonk Road on March 27, 2016. Since ever, history is replete with women pioneers in every facet of life. Yet days like International Women's Day are celebrated every year manifesting the need to recognize and reward those pioneers for their ground-breaking performances. Under the banner of its Gender Equality Program 'Santulan', DJJS conducts Annual Santulan Awards on every International Women’s Day to pat women's shoulder for the remarkable contributions they make to the society.

International Women's Day 2016 commemorated in Jaipur, Rajasthan through Annual Santulan Awards

The grand event at Jaipur was graced by Honorable Chief Guest Shri Suresh Choudhary, Chief Information Commissioner (Rajasthan) and Shri Rajeev Dasot, Additional Director General- Police (RAC) as the Guest of Honour. Also present were Dr. P.L. Aggarwal (Information Commissioner of Rajasthan) from the host organization, Shri A.K.Mittal (Property Dealer), also witnessed gracious presence of eminent guests namely Shri Suresh Chand Dinker (Finance Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan), Shri Om Prakash Modi (Social Worker), Shri Damodhar Sharma (Retd. Chief IAS Officer), Shri Satish Chand Derashari (Member Secretary State Finance Commission Rajasthan), Shri Ramavtar (Retd. IAS Officer), Shri K.N.Gupta (Retd. IAS Officer), Shri Ashok Gupta (IPS (OSD)), Dr.R.L.Raina (Vice Chancellor, JK Lashmipat University) along with hundreds of distinguished guests.

The program began with lamp lighting followed by Shakti Vandana infusing women power. An enlightening skit on the theme "Astitva" was presented by Santulan volunteers to showcase the need of awakening the society to the realization of significance of women in formation of an ideal society. Sadhvi Ruchika Bharti Ji rendered religious clarity over prejudicial cultural doctrines that are majorly responsible for deteriorating value of girl child. She also broth forth the irony where countless accomplishments of women fail to mask the rise in crime against them. The program was taken forward with a beauteous dance ballet on Mahishasur Mardini displaying women potential and victory over demon of immorality.

Post the performances, Chief Guest Shri Suresh Choudhary was called upon the stage to give away 7th Annual Santulan Awards to women achievers of Rajasthan for their exemplary performances in their respective fields. A group photo session was conducted on the stage with awardees and guests which was followed by an appreciate note by the Chief Guest taking into account the endeavours of DJJS in regards to women.

Concluding the event, Swami Adityanand Ji (President DJJS) delivered a thank you note to all the present guests and attendees for being a part of the organization's initiative and briefed them about other on-going activities of the organization; which was followed by a display of a sensitizing exhibition and dinner for all.
