Sanskarshala, an exclusive monthly initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan's holistic education programme, Manthan – Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK), provides an enriching platform for children aged 4 to 12 years. Designed to nurture timeless values, emotional resilience, and holistic personality development, these experiential sessions seamlessly integrate value-based education with interactive learning.

In August 2026, Manthan SVK held a “Kitchen Hygiene” (रसोई की स्वच्छता) Sanskarshala session under its “स्वच्छ आदतें, श्रेष्ठ संस्कार” series. Through hands-on activities, children learned essential practices for clean utensils, proper food storage, and organised kitchen spaces, building core habits of personal discipline, responsibility, and everyday wellness.
During the month, 45 Sanskarshala workshops were successfully organized across various DJJS branches, benefiting nearly 1,976 children, including NRI participants and students from DJJS Manthan schools across India:

- Uttar Pradesh
- Lal Bahadur Shastri Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Muradnagar
- Gujarat
- GD Goenka Public School, Jamnagar
- Shree Sarasvati Vidhyalaya in Gokul Nagar, Jamnagar
- Rajasthan
- Chetna Public Secondary School in Borkheda, Kota
The sessions sensitised children to the importance of a clean, hygienic kitchen in preventing illness and food-related health concerns. Through interactive activities, practical demonstrations and videos, children learnt essential practices such as washing hands, cleaning fruits and vegetables, keeping food covered, maintaining clean utensils, proper storage and refrigeration, safe waste disposal, and preventing cross-contamination. They also learnt everyday kitchen safety practices, including turning off gas burners and taps, keeping flammable materials away from flames, and maintaining clean sinks and work surfaces.
The sessions further connected kitchen hygiene with discipline, self-reliance and family values. Children were encouraged to wash their own utensils, leave the kitchen clean and organised, assist elders, serve food and water, and remain attentive to their family members’ needs. Through these simple practices, they understood that a kitchen is not merely a hygienic space, but also a place where responsibility, care, consideration and discipline are practised in everyday life.
The sessions concluded in an atmosphere of serenity and spiritual bliss with the collective chanting of the sacred Shanti Mantra, invoking peace and positivity. Thereafter, the children humbly offered their obeisance at the revered lotus feet of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, seeking His divine grace and blessings.
