"One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say." --Bryant H. McGill

Lead by Listening - Life Skill Session at Mangolpuri Manthan-SVK

To imbibe such qualities in the students of Manthan-SVK, a LIFE SKILL session was organised in the Mangolpuri centre by Sadhvi Aneesha Bharti ji on 20th October 2018.  The purpose of the session was to make students a patient, empathetic and responsive listeners which will in turn benefit them in the times to come.

In order to make students understand the power of being a good listener, numerous slides and videos containing listening riddles were shown. Students were then asked about the meaning and interpretation of the same. To make communication effective and lively, it’s important not only to be an expressive orator but also to be a sympathetic listener. This was taught to students through various games and activities in order to ensure better clarity and understanding of practical side of the idea. Good attributes also bring in with them positive changes and benefits. Teachers explained students how listening can help them in building concentration for their studies, make them more aware of their surroundings, lead to stronger relations and bonds and make them more active.
