Goddess Durga being a supreme symbol of power and strength gives us numerous life-changing lessons. Her nine forms are the embodiment of purity, knowledge, truth, self-realization, salvation and sacrifice. Through every part of her appearance, Maa Durga inspires us to sanctify our lives with the help of Divine Knowledge. For instance, partially bloomed lotus in her hand symbolises certainty of success but depicts continuous evolution of the spiritual quality of devotees amidst the worldly mud of lust and greed.
A human being came in this world to achieve one true goal; instead he becomes ignorant of his true purpose and indulges in worldly pleasures. To resurrect the awareness about agenda of life, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized the event of ‘Maa Bhagwati Jagran’ at Rayya, District Amritsar, Punjab on January 14th, 2019. The word Jagran, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘jaagar’, meaning awake or a state of alertness, refers to the period of nocturnal wakefulness. When one realizes ‘Shakti’ that resides with in us in form of divine light, all the negativities starts eliminating and one becomes embodiment of truth.
Event commenced with a humble prayer at the lotus feet of Ma Bhagwati followed by a series of melodious devotional bhajans, creating a divine environment. The spiritual discourser of the day, Sadhvi Manglawati Bharti Ji, preacher disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, explained awakening is possible only when we contemplate our hearts. One will realize that though he has gathered all the luxuries but is still deprived of happiness and bliss that religion offers. Only divine knowledge can eradicate ignorance and take person from darkness to light, making his life heaven.
Sadhvi Ji explored the theme of inner light further by stating that mere talk about the nature of the soul will not lead one to seeing the soul. Much like talking about lustrous sun within the four walls of a room does not make one see the true nature of sun, i.e. a huge ball of light. To see sun, one has to step out under the open sky and see for oneself. Similarly, a devotee willing to talk about spirituality will not benefit unless they witness it themselves. In this journey of theirs, the help of an awakened spiritual teacher is a must. Without a true Guru, inner awakening is not possible. His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji bestows devotee with ‘Brahm Gyan’ an eternal science of self-realization which harnesses the Shakti and creates divine personality which not only benefits him but society as a whole.
She informed the importance of spiritual discourses and selfless service in one’s life and how meditation eliminates our bad virtues and brings complete transformation in human’s mindset.
