Manthan – The Holistic Education Program of DJJS (Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan) was invited by Maharaja Agarsen community trust to celebrate Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti on 6th Sep’16 in the Community Centre, Aggar Nagar, Ferozpur Road, Ludhiana, Punjab. Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti (literally "Agrasen's birthday") is the birth anniversary celebrations of a legendary Hindu king Agrasen Maharaj. Agrasen Jayanti is observed on the fourth day of Ashwin month of Hindu calendar. There were approx. 430 beneficiaries from different schools including Manthan SVK students of Ludhiana centres. Sadhvi Rajni Bharti and Sadhvi Somprabha Bharti were present amongst the preachers from DJJS. Mr. Parveen Bansal Ex.Union Minister, Mr. Ravneet Bittu (M.P), Mrs.Leena Taparia (Counsillor), Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu (MLA), Mr. Balbir Gupta (President, Durga Mata Mandir Trust), Mr. Hemraj Aggarwal were invited as the Guests of Honor.
Students from various schools participated in several events and cultural activities during the celebrations. Manthanites bagged cash prize and appreciation certificates from the guests present. Sadhvi Rajni bharti ji made the session interactive by talking at length about these underprivileged kids and the activities running under the Manthan SVK project. Volunteers distributed informative brochures and literature to the guests and teachers present. At the end of the session, students were served snacks by the organisers.
Overall the session was a success and the organisers appreciated the talent and the efforts put in by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan to enrich the lives of these kids through quality education.
