The enthusiastic disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji sensitized lakhs of devotees, in Gender perspective, each day during the nine-day Navratri Festival at Jhandevla Mandir Karol Baag New Delhi. Considering the culturally and religiously driven section of the society as prospective change agents for eradicating the human malfunction of Female Feticide; volunteers of Santulan – the Gender Equality program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) drew a question mark on the contradictory face of today’s society which worships the personification of divine feminine energy on one hand and kills the unborn girl child on the other hand.
Crime and Violence Against Women is at a sharp hike. How are we going to protect our daughters, sisters, wives and mothers? Female Feticide is not the solution. Terminating the life of unborn girl child is not going to put a full stop at the heinous mindsets of society which disregards woman as a commodity.
Under the revered guidance of the perfect master of the time, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who is also the head & founder of DJJS, Santulan has been eradicating prejudicial misconducts against women based on plethora of religious, cultural, social and customary myths, across the nation through massive rallies, awareness counters, poster exhibitions, street theater, counseling sessions, lectures, workshops, seminars, webinars and spiritual discourses.
By creating positive changes in millions since years, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji has proved that Spirituality is a profound and practical tool to bring about mindset changes and thus total transformation at the societal level. Santulan, through its approach of mass awareness and sensitization along with functional literacy programs for adult illiterate women, skill enhancement for livelihood generation and eternal science of Self Realization – Brahmgyan; is building ideological capacities of women and is ensuring their holistic empowerment.
In the same series, mass awareness was generated in Jhandevala Mandir through two massive sensitizing exhibitions along with awareness counters. Thousands of informative and educative pamphlets pertaining to the issue of Sex Selective Abortions (Female Feticide) were distributed amongst lakhs of people.
Along with ‘Jai Mata Ki’ slogans, the devotees resolved to break silence, raise voice and act against all forms of Violence Against Women especially Female Feticide.
