Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan presented yet another soul-rejuvenating spiritual program ‘Meera Shyam Katha’ from 27th March to 2nd April 2022. The seven-day spiritual saga based on the life story of Saint Meerabai Ji was webcasted through the YouTube Channel of DJJS. Thousands of disciples and devotees from different parts of the world virtually attended the Katha and got insights about the revolutionary teachings of Saint Meera Bai Ji. Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder and Head, DJJS) beautifully unfolded diverse aspects of Saint Meera Bai Ji’s magnetic personality, recollecting various life episodes right from Meera bai Ji’s birth, early life to her Bhakti movement. The program commenced with Vedic chanting by the disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The Katha was a beautiful amalgamation of melodious divine songs orchestrated by the disciple musicians of His Holiness and insightful revelations from the life of Meera Bai Ji by the Katha orator.
Sadhvi Ji highlighted that Meera Bai Ji's deep love for Lord Krishna was unmatched and eternal. She was an enlightened soul, a poetess, a philanthropist, a social reformer, and an exemplar of true women empowerment. Meera Bai Ji’s life was full of challenges and difficulties. She underwent various ordeals but stood strong with her fearless nature, undaunted courage, and strong will. Though she was a princess, she led a life characterised by perfect renunciation and self-surrender. From her childhood only Meera Bai Ji immersed herself into the divine pool of Shri Krishna’s love and devotion. She raised voice against social evils like Sati ritual and reinstated the glory of womanhood. She got spiritually enlightened by the auspicious blessings of her divine Guru ‘Shri Ravidas Ji’ and composed many devotional bhajans after experiencing the Supreme Lord within. Despite facing criticism and hostility from her own family, Meera Bai Ji lived an exemplary saintly life.
The Preacher Disciple of Shri Maharaj Ji concluded that Meera Bai Ji’s life inspires us to search for a perfect eternal companion like Lord Krishna. We should be steadfast with staunch faith and devotion on the spiritual journey. In struggles alone, spiritual evolution of an individual is hidden. We too should direct our lives from worldly miseries to that of inner-enlightenment and spiritual upliftment by following the footprints of a True Spiritual Master. Inner Awakening and self-surrender are the pre-requisites for unison with God and to derive tranquillity, purity, and true happiness in life.
