No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted. Kindness is a wonderful way to let another struggling soul know that there is still love in this world. This seed of kindness is best sown in the children at an early age itself. Even the smallest act of kindness always pays you back. It is a gift which everyone can afford. To instill such a feeling of kindness in children, Manthan SVK organized a session on kindness in Patel Nagar centre on 10th August 2019. Manthan SVK is an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan which is working relentlessly for the benefit of underprivileged children of the society. It is not only working for the education of these children but also their holistic and overall development.
This session was organized by MEQ ACADEMY. Ms. Rosy and Ms. Swetcha were mentors of this workshop. They recited stories to the children with the moral based on importance of kindness. They also organized flower making activity for the kids in which they created flowers using their thumb impressions. Kids performed a skit on the topic which was appreciated and understood by one and all. They also conducted an activity using acrylic paints and plain stones, depicting moral messages related to the topic- kindness. A total of 30 students were beneficiary of this workshop. At the end of the workshop, the organizers asked the children to take a pledge to help at least one person every day. The children promised to help others as much as possible and share this lesson with others as well.
