Human love is conditional and based upon merit and inborn attachments. But, at the spiritual level, soul contact between guru and disciple is eternal, unconditional divine love and friendship, bearing no taint of any selfish consideration. To connect the devotees to the treasure of spiritual wisdom and to guide them on the spiritual path, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (“DJJS”) organised the program of “Monthly Spiritual Congregation” at its Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab on 5th January, 2020. Taking out time from the busy worldly life, thousands of devotees attended the event for their spiritual growth. The devotional songs soaked in the emotions sowed the seeds of sacred devotion in hearts for the Perfect Master.
The learned preacher disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS) encouraged the devotees to continue their spiritual journey with grit and determination. They aptly said that God does not reveal Himself in the beginning to an undeveloped truth-seeker; rather He guides them to an enlightened soul in the form of a Perfect Master. Only a Perfect Master is the embodiment of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The guru is Brahma because he gives birth to a soul in the spiritual world; he is Vishnu because he sustains and protects him; he is Shiva because he annihilates his world of individuality. It is to be noted that if you want to drink water at the tap, you will have to bend yourself. Even so, if you want to drink the spiritual nectar of immortality which flows from the holy feet of the Guru, you will have to be an embodiment of humility and surrender.
Everyone needs a psychological mirror in order to see the blemishes that have become the part of one's personality, consciously or unconsciously. A Perfect Master (Guru) serves as this mirror. He holds up to the devotee a reflection of his perfect soul-image over which is superimposed the flaws of the ego that mar perfection. Guru serves as a guide in the dark forest of life. If you follow him, he will lead you out of the darkness. If you try to find the way alone, you may needlessly lose yourself in the forest for many incarnations. Guru keeps on transforming the disciple until he becomes the embodiment of perfection.
So, follow the guru, and he will take you through safely. He watches, instructs and warns his followers in many different ways and on different levels of consciousness. Even if the guru is far away, it does not matter. A mother continues caring for her child, wherever he is. In the same way the guru's guidance is both present and necessary at all times. The Guru sometimes speaks very clearly in the silence of the heart. Need is to be connected to thyself and listen to the inner voice.
The congregation rejuvenated one and all, thereby urging them to be steadfast on the path of spirituality with full vigour and enthusiasm.
