Someone has rightly said that “association with the wise becomes so crucial to spiritual development because the example and advice of a noble-minded counsellor is often the decisive factor that awakens and nurtures the unfolding of our own untapped spiritual potential”. Recently, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (“DJJS”) organized an event of Monthly Spiritual Congregation at Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab on 10th September, 2017. Discourses provide people with an opportunity to keep them engaged in divine thoughts and actions and remain focused on their respective paths, the path to self-realization or the union of the individual self with the highest self.
The learned preachers shared their valuable experiences with the masses. The Guru is the conveyance in which the spiritual influence is brought to us. Anyone can teach, but the spirit must be passed on by the Guru to the Shishya (disciple), and that will fructify. Swami Vivekananda used to tell about Guru Bhakti: - “Self-Knowledge has supreme range which cannot be obtain from scriptures. Even if you go to whole earth tour, real self-realization cannot be known without Gurudev’s Kripa-Prasad at any time. So by God’s mercy when you have Gurudev Darshan, then completely take Gurudev’s shelter, consider that he is Parabrahma (Greatest Divine Power), be his child and serve him totally – by this you will be blessed. Those who have surrendered to Gurudev with Supreme Love and honor, only to them the Supreme Lord (Sach-chit-anand Prabhu) have bestowed the Param Bhakti (utmost devotion) and have displayed the supernatural miracles of Spirituality.”
The preachers further explained that it is necessary is to be stripped of our vanities and to surrender ourselves completely to the guidance of our Guru. The Guru only knows what will lead us towards perfection. We are quite blind to it. We do not know anything. This sort of humility will open the door of our heart for spiritual truths. Truth will never come into our minds so long as there will remain the faintest shadow of egotism. All of us should try to root out this devil from your heart. Complete self-surrender is the only way to spiritual illumination. Devotional songs accentuated the level of spirituality and soaked everyone in nectar of divinity.
It is the faith that teaches a disciple that while sitting in the ship of the Perfect Master, the jerks that he gets are not meant to drown him. Rather, they are to protect him from getting drowned in the ocean of maya. He gains the understanding that whatever challenges and troubles he has to face in his life, they will add to his growth and development only.
The greatest ever gift of “Brahm Gyan” given to us by our Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS) is indeed a blessing and its regular practice will keep our faith growing and we will surely be able to achieve our spiritual goal. The Spiritual Congregation once again proved to light the hearts of disciples with faith, determination, devotion and wisdom.
