In the stressful life of today, human being is searching for the moment of peace and calmness. Everyone is waiting for the dawn of a new era where only peace and tranquility is there; there is no place of hatred, violence and discrimination where everyone can reside with peace and dignity. A glimpse of such a morning was evident in the form of ‘Prabhat Pheri’ which literally means the ‘morning rounds’ where people walk for a purpose spreading message of love and peace. It is a traditional lost in the realm of modernization. Long time ago, people from the villages would get up early in the wee hours of the morning and take rounds of the village chanting and singing ‘bhajans’ and playing ethnic instruments. It was believed that this ritual invoked the good spirits, and would chase the evil spirits of the night, further welcoming the morning with good vibrations.
