Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s (DJJS) social initiative program Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK) is rigorously working for the welfare and education of the underprivileged children and has been instrumental in providing equal learning opportunities to all genders specially to boost women’s economic empowerment as well as to make education available to every adult in Bharat, inclusive of inaccessible and socially unreachable areas of society.
DJJS Manthan SVK, on 29th October 2023, promulgated its social programs by organizing various workshops, unparallelly at some of its branches across the country -
1. Technical Grooming Workshop at DJJS Rohini, Sector 15, Delhi.
A Technical Grooming workshop, under the PRASHIKSHAN- Kaushal Vikas Kendra Program, was organized for adults, especially those aged 40 and above. SYAHI, apart from providing literacy classes to the elderly, also enables the awareness of using simple technology in day-to-day life through Technical Grooming workshops. Through these workshops, adults gain knowledge about the nuances of the various technology applications so as to reduce the disparity of knowledge and boost confidence among adult learners. 60 beneficiaries had enrolled for this Technical Grooming workshop.
The inaugural felicitation ceremony started with lamp lighting by the chief guest, Mrs. Smita Kaushik, Municipal Councilor, Rohini, Delhi. Sadhvi Deepa Bharti ji, Global Project Coordinator, DJJS Manthan SVK, presided over the gathering and addressed the attendees. Sadhvi Ji, introduced the various DJJS Manthan SVK projects including a video on the SYAHI - Adult Literacy Programme, was also showcased to everyone.
The beneficiaries were felicitated with ID cards and stationery kits. On that note, the beneficiaries shared their testimonials where they expressed their inquisitiveness to explore new learning experiences and look forward to enhance themselves with the teaching methods. In this way, they can get adequately trained to become independent which in turn will foster their self-esteem.
2. Free Dental Health Check-Up Camp at DJJS Rohini, Sector 15, Delhi.
DJJS Manthan SVK, organized a Free Dental Health Check-Up Camp for Manthanites. As we all know, it is imperative to pay attention to both physical and mental health of growing children. DJJS Manthan SVK, has left no stone unturned in this concern. With this a Free Dental Health Check-Up Camp, 50 children benefited from the expert diagnosis and advice by Dr. Om Shree Singh.
Dr. Om Shree Singh also educated the children about preventive oral hygiene practices and common dental ailments, such as tooth decay and gum diseases and the preventive measures to be taken.
