Learning how to learn is one of the most important skills in life. It has been well said that if you teach a man, you teach a person, but if you teach a woman, you teach a family. Adult literacy is as important as the education in children. That is the only way they will be able to keep up with today’s progressive society and understand the importance of education for their children as well. Keeping in mind this requirement of the society, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan has launched an initiative by the name of Syahi, Adult literacy centre in which free education is provided to adult ladies. It is a sub project of Manthan-SVK. Exams are also held after each session in the centres to test the information grasped by the ladies.
One such event of result distribution was held in the month of April in which 36 beneficiaries were given their report cards. These beneficiaries belonged to various branches such as Dwarka, Vikas Nagar, Faridabad and Prem Nagar. Preachers such as Sadhvi Shyama Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Sheetal Bharti Ji from Vikas Puri branch, Sadhvi Surotama Bharti Ji from Rohini branch and Sadhvi Bhawna Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Chandrarekha Bharti Ji from Faridabad branch presented these report cards to the students. This marked the end of the session with the ladies overwhelmed with enthusiasm to utilize and spread their knowledge.
