On the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, SAM marked National Youth Day with a large-scale celebration at Sri Venkateswara College, in proud collaboration with Delhi Tourism. The event brought together culture, music, and youth leadership to reflect Vivekananda’s vision of a strong, awakened nation shaped by conscious and empowered youth.

The celebration witnessed the participation of over 6,000–7,000 students from both the North and South Campuses of the University of Delhi. Students from diverse academic institutions attended the programme and expressed strong appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the relevance of National Youth Day as a platform for meaningful youth engagement.
Representation extended across multiple colleges of the University of Delhi, including Sri Venkateswara College, Aryabhatta College, Motilal Nehru College, Ram Lal Anand College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Jesus and Mary College, Maitreyi College, Kirori Mal College, Ramjas College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Dayal Singh College, and the Faculty of Arts, North Campus, underscoring the event’s wide inter-college reach and resonance among young audiences.

The celebration came alive with Bhajan Clubbing, a modern devotional experience which blended devotional music with contemporary soundscapes inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. This was followed by a dynamic musical ballet by Eternal Splendour, SAM’s in-house performing arts group, portraying Vivekananda not only as a monk but also as a visionary nationalist. The cultural segment also featured a special performance by Bollywood singer Nishtha Sharma, which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
A key highlight of the event was the motivational address by Sadhvi Parma Bharti, who drew a powerful analogy using a candle flame—regardless of movement, it always rises upward. She encouraged the youth to similarly strive toward their higher selves through disciplined spiritual practice and the path of self-realisation.
The celebration concluded with students collectively taking a youth pledge, reaffirming their commitment to purpose, responsibility, and national development.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Bansuri Swaraj, Anil Sharma, and Rajiv Babbar, who later shared their appreciation publicly. Bansuri Swaraj noted that SAM’s National Youth Day initiative reflected a thoughtful integration of modern expression with cultural values, while Anil Sharma highlighted the programme’s impact in inspiring youth through value-driven engagement.
Reflecting on the larger purpose of the celebration, Sadhvi Dr. Shivani Bharti and Sadhvi Ruchi Bharti emphasised that the event was not merely a cultural programme, but a growing youth movement. Inspired by the vision of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Founder and Head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, the initiative reiterated the belief that inner evolution is the foundation for lasting social and national transformation—a message that continues to guide SAM’s work with youth across platforms.
