“Nothing happens by chance or by fate. You create your own fate by your actions. That’s Karma.” There is a natural law of karma that exists in this world. We get served what we deserve. Karma works in mysterious ways. Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan talked about this mystery of karma in seven days Bhagwat Katha in Gopalganj, Bihar from 24th to 30th October 2018. The orator of this pious Katha was Sadhvi Padmahasta Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.

 A large number of masses participated in the marking event of the katha which was Kalash yatra. In this yatra, multiples of married women carried the kalash on their heads while chanting the vedic mantras. This procession spread the message of katha to all the surrounding areas. Each day the katha started with prayers in the lotus feet of Lord Krishna.

Sadhvi Padmahasta Bharti Ji narrated the katha filled with multiple anecdotes. She narrated the anecdote of Lord Krishna and Kansa. She mentioned that even though Kansa was Lord Krishna’s uncle, still he had to pay for his deeds. She described that every person in this world has to pay for what he has done. Sooner or later, we have to reap what we have sown. She stated that each person needs to think twice before doing any deed since it will come back to us in form of our karma.

Sadhvi Ji created an aura of devotion in the surrounding through her devotional talks. She specified that a person need to pay for his karma in one way or another. But eternal knowledge i.e. “Brahm Gyan” is a way through which a person can judge some act he is about to perform. Only this eternal knowledge is the medium through which this Karma theory can be explained and a person can get out of this infinite loop of karma.

The katha was attended by a large number of people and the numbers increased with each passing day. The amalgamation of melodious music by trained devotee musicians and devotional katha by Sadhvi Ji created an aura of divinity in the surrounding. The event ended with havan attended by a large number of devotees and was a huge success.
