Today India’s representatives make us proud with their speeches claiming India to be the rightful owner of the world’s largest democracy, and talk shows like TED and India’s World etc. became the new stronghold for discussing and spreading far-reaching new ideas but there was a man who did proud us on a world platform long before in one day. His patriotism, unflinching reverence for the nation, unrelenting instinct of revolutionizing the world and nonetheless his unflinching devotion to his master made his speech at first Parliament of the World’s Religions, held in Chicago as the most significant to the world – so much so that 12th January has been declared as the National Youth Day. Today, the concept of youthfulness has flipped all through opposite and now idealize the uncontrolled, aimless, unfocussed approach as the ‘in’ concept amongst youth. Therefore, to carve out more of such Vivekananda’s as is much needed today, we need to follow the same path of spirituality and morality. Because an awakened person can only awake the society, as today we are completely asleep from within, which when jerked and shirked from inside can we certainly achieve the immense and unimaginable. We therefore need to be as that of Vivekananda ourselves in character. To achieve the same, bodh the drug abuse eradication program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, has organized a motivation workshop for the youth at Pithoragarh under the guidance of our founder mentor, His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji keeping the teachings, philosophies, and ideals of Vivekananda in focus. More than 300 people from schools and colleges participated and got benefitted with so many aspects of spirituality and life stories of swami ji which are otherwise unheard and unspoken. The program was very significant as it as well furthered the understanding of the traits of a youth amongst the participants.
