Childhood means simplicity. Look at the world with the child’s eye – it is very beautiful. Adding to the beauty of childhood, it has been said that Childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons. The world would be an awful place without children who bring their innocence and perfection with them. To celebrate this innocence and beautiful spirit, International children’s day is celebrated every year on 20th November. It is celebrated every year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide. Manthan-SVK, which is also working for the benefit and education of the underprivileged children of the society as an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, also celebrated this day with Six seconds and UNICEF.

The event was celebrated at all the centres of Manthan with complete joy and enthusiasm. The students participated in a number of activities. In Friendship Medal activity students designed a medal for their best friend signifying the importance they hold in their life as well the qualities which they appreciate in their friend. In Colour of Your heart activity students also created a emotion heart in which they colored their various emotions felt at the time such as happy, sad and angry. This activity helped the students to recognize the various emotions cooped up in them and a medium to express them. Build your community activity held for the students was forming the outline of their hands on two separate sheet. In one hand, they mentioned their bad habits and the qualities that they would like to change in themselves. In the second, they suggested the ways in which they can overcome those bad habits. All the students enjoyed these activities and really got to realize their inner weaknesses and qualities which they can work upon. The day was full of fun and excitement for both the students and the teachers.
